Subject: About Watercolour Pencils...
I posted this under my piece -- but I wanted to make sure I got it to you...

...and btw, the pottery and photos are fantastic! I absolutely love pottery. Let me know if you get a wild hair to do some tea mugs... I'm searching for the perfect mug... :)

Hiya Kathleen! Nice to meet you -- and feel free to jump in the conversation anytime. :)

Watercolour pencils are basically watercolour in a pencil form. They look just like colour pencils, but when you take a brush to them, or use them on wet watercolour paper, it's like having your paint in the most convenient place possible! With them being in pencil form, you can sharpen the tip to get details in there or you can just wash it across. Also, they work with any medium you can think of... Traditional watercolour, pen and ink, acrylics, colour pencils... Some of the best brands available are Prismacolor, Derwent and Faber-Castell. I recommend the Prismacolor brand for it's even price, colourfastness, quality and the smooth paint/lead. :) You should really check them out -- they are my medium of choice! :) Blessings!
